Abstract

Transcription of two documents about the Liberal Revolution of 1842 in Sorocaba, whose original copies are found in the National Archive in Rio de Janeiro (History Section) under number CX 809 - PAC, 1. The first document is an instruction given by President Rafael Tobias de Aguiar to the Military Commanders and the second is an appeal to the “paulistas” (natives of São Paulo State) to join the Revolution.
