Abstract

The author discusses in this article one approach to the rich and polemical thought of Weber: its conception of the State and consequently its understanding of political action. Departing from a certain simplistic vision, that always considered Weber an anti-Marx, to perceive the depth of the contribution of his thought and to do justice to the greatness of both, the author seeks to recover the importance that Weber places upon political action, so fundamental in these times, where the prevailing thought insists upon disqualifying it.
