Orientação produtiva na agropecuária brasileira

uma análise comparativa entre 1970 e 1985, com base nas mesorregiões homogêneas

Abstract

The main objective of this work is to analyze the productive orientation of agronomic and cattle breeding activities within the 88 Geographic Mesoregions of Brazil. By using data based on the 1970 and 1985 Agronomic and Cattle Breeding Census, 24 variables were elaborated related to agrarian structure, production structure, technological level and socio-economical indicators which were explained by factor analysis methods in main components and by automatic hierarchical classification. The adopted methods make clear the occurrence of several important particularities, although the general characteristics of the mesoregion groups wouldn’t show any striking changes when comparing the periods.
