O ensino do mapa

Abstract

The map, a concrete object, demands interpretation of its codes through abstraction. In this sense, the text makes a theoretical and methodological analysis with Armando Corrêa da Silva (categories of analysis in Geography), Edgar Morin (bi-hemispheric brain), Lívia de Oliveira (teaching through the map and of the map) Jacques Bertin and Roberto Gimeno (Graphic Semiology). The conclusion reveals that the objective of graphic representation is the map to be seen, and since the communication process is reached, the teaching of the map is too.
