Based on the idea that sport is characterized as a space for sociopolitical manifestations and representations, this work seeks to understand how sports journalism can discuss issues of social relevance, such as violence against women. To study this phenomenon, articles published in 2020 by the Dibradoras website that address the topic were selected. After a qualitative analysis of the material, we observed among the results that Dibradoras offers alternative content to that of the major portals, with analytical texts in defense of women's rights in society and female protagonism in sport, reinforcing the place of sports journalism as a field of social demand.
