Curitiba e a Revolução Liberal
Abstract
The author writes briefly about the causes which led to the Liberal Revolution of 1842 and states that the reasons for its failure were the lack of military preparation and the difficultiés of the means of communiccation. He reminds us of the final battle of Santa Luzia which gave the liberals the nickname of “Luzias”. He describes the situation of the Sth. Judiciary District (Curitiba) and the reasons why it joined the legal forces, which led to the establishment of the Province, that eventually became the State of Paraná.
