Os aspectos negativos do método positivista na pesquisa das ciências sociais
Abstract
The prime objective of this text is to identify and analyse the negative aspects of the use of the method in the social sciences research. The author delineates in a brief, clear and articulaJe way how the fundamental pretext of positivism - that the laws which rule the running of social, economical and political life are the same kind as natural laws - leads the researcher into understanding society as a whole where some kind of harmony similar to the one in nature prevails. This text attempts to demonstrate how this theoretical and methodological conception can turn the social individual into an object, a charm and how, by proposing neutrality of science and searching for regularity for the commensurability of the observed facts, turns knowledge and society into thingness.
