Thoughts on artificial intelligence in KDD and KDT knowledge extraction processes

This paper aims to present the processes related to extraction of knowledge in databases and in texts (KDD and KDT) and the technique applied involving artificial intelligence and neural networks. It also highlights possible impacts involving concepts from weak artificial intelligence (real) and strong A.I. (not yet real) in the processes of knowledge extraction and presents reflections about these same processes and the scientific and social impacts of research about transitioning from one model to the other. Among its results, we highlight that technologies of artificial intelligence need to become protagonists for a better use of knowledge extraction tools, as well as education about artificial intelligence must be promoted among researchers in order to mitigate currently perceived problems.
