This article proposes a critical reflection on curricula and their political generalizations, approaching the topic from the perspective of quilombismo - a practice rooted in resistance, collectivity, and the appreciation of Afrocentric epistemologies. Through teachers’ narratives and lived experiences in a Municipal Early Childhood Education Unit, the study demonstrates how everyday school life can become a space of resistance to hegemonic and Eurocentric logics that have historically marginalized Black knowledge and bodies. Quilombismo is presented as an ethical, aesthetic, and political movement that redefines the curriculum, transforming it into a territory of listening, memory, and ancestry. Methodologically, this work relies on narratives as a socially committed research approach, valuing orality, affectivity, and lived experiences as legitimate sources of knowledge. Through dialogue circles with teachers, the text illustrates how pedagogical practices sensitive to ethno-racial issues can strengthen the identity of Black children and help build a curriculum grounded in social and cognitive justice. The article argues that reconstructing curricula is an act of resistance that challenges the erasure of knowledge and reaffirms the dignity of Black peoples. Ultimately, it invites readers to (re)think formative processes and the broader field of curriculum.
