The country's legislation prohibits the exploitation of domestic child labor, however official indicators show that this practice affects thousands of children. Opposing the exploitation of child labor and assuming teaching knowledge as a means of identifying and intervening in this practice, we seek to reveal and discuss “What are the teaching knowledge related to child domestic work developed by teachers in the early years based on a training action aimed at to this topic?. Anchored in Tardif, we carried out a qualitative investigation through a training activity, centered on Law and Education contents, which involved sixteen teachers from the early years. The empirical material consisted of meeting transcripts, field notes and a questionnaire. The analysis showed knowledge about the implications and challenges of child labor in educational processes, knowledge of school and student contexts and its potential for identifying domestic child labor, implications of socioeconomic aspects in the incidence of child labor and domestic child labor in the development of children, possibilities of intervention in the classroom. The development of knowledge can provide the teacher with theoretical and practical subsidies to identify, characterize and intervene in child labor practices.
