The objective of this study is to map and analyze scientific productions within Brazilian Postgraduate programs (theses and dissertations) related to the theme of Lesson Study, with an emphasis on initiatives that extend beyond Mathematics. To achieve this purpose, bibliometric research with a qualiquantitative approach was conducted. Data were collected through searches in the Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations, focusing on productions that included the descriptor "Lesson Study". Thirty-seven productions were identified, of which 11 dissertations and 16 theses were selected for reading and analysis, totaling 27 productions based on bibliometric analysis procedures. The initial findings revealed that Lesson Study is an approach that conceptualizes professional development as a continuous process, developed in cycles, evolving to new levels of understanding and knowledge at each stage. There is a significant need to explore Lesson Study as a subject of study in other disciplines beyond mathematics, aiming to make it a formative process for professional development among teachers within the Brazilian context.
