Analogue Games Fostering Educational Experiences

This paper aims to present a case study of educational experiences focused on people with visual impairments, fostered through analogue games. Initially, the games will be contextualized regarding their potential to provide informal, non-formal and formal educational experiences, supported by official documents, documents produced by game publishers, and the application of games by teachers in classroom contexts. Then, the games will be presented as enhancers of appropriate educational experiences for people with visual impairments, through case reports from the research. Finally, Design in Partnership will be presented as a powerful methodology to provide meaningful learning situations for people with visual impairments, but also as a provider of educational opportunities for designers who apply it in the context of this segment of the population.
