This article is set in the field of curriculum, more specifically the curricular policies-practices thought up and lived out in the development of the curriculum for the first years of elementary school. The aim of this article is to analyze the political discourses mobilized in the curricular practices produced by teachers in a municipal public school system in the region of Caruaru (Agreste Pernambuco). To do this, we used Discourse Theory based on the notions of negotiation and discursive articulation, thus demarcating our position in working with curricular policy-practices from a perspective of discursive negotiation-articulation. As methodological procedures, we used a questionnaire and interviews with teachers working in the early years of elementary school. Based on the teachers' discourses, it was possible to see that their actions were crossed by different conflicting political discourses, demonstrating that, despite having as a reference numerous political proposals that pointed to simplifying and digitizing the curriculum, their curricular practices were not determined by them. What we observed was the political character in its facet that dissociates, antagonizes, maintains the conflict, manifested in the curricular negotiations that made up the constitution of their curricular practices and made it possible to articulate other ways of thinking-living the curriculum in their daily school lives.
